Rahul K Sukumaran is a Landscape Architect by profession, an illustrator and an artist based out of Kottayam. He graduated from College of Engineering Trivandrum in 2011 and started his career at InFORM Architects, Bangalore and has also worked at Design Milieu Landscape architects, Bangalore later. He co-founded Seamline Studio in 2016 with Ar. Namitha C.S. at Bangalore and is involved with architecture, landscape, ecological planning and mixed-use master planning projects.
He has been involved in architecture academics since 2016 and has associated with Avani Institute of Design, Calicut and School of Architecture, Christ University, Bangalore, before joining Seed. He had been a key member of the faculty team that coordinated a range of exhibitions, workshops, and co-curricular activities for students at those institutions. His graphical skills and the passion towards architecture and landscape renderings has helped him in formulating creative teaching strategies that fully engage students in the learning process of architectural graphics and sketching in their foundation studios.
His achievements include ‘ISOLA Students Award 2015′ for the best post graduate thesis in India awarded by Indian Society of Landscape Architects during his post graduation years at CEPT Ahmedabad where it also bagged the Best thesis award. It was also selected as the entry from CEPT University for the biennial international graduate project competition, Archiprix 2017.
