seed offers a 5 year B. Arch course and is affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi University Kottayam with a sanctioned intake per year of 80 which is approved by Council of Architecture, New Delhi.

Architecture, as a profession, involves the study and design of habitats and is a multi-disciplinary field with strong connections to the humanities. Unlike purely technical courses, it demands significant self-motivation and creative thinking from students. The core subject, Architectural Design, is complemented by a diverse curriculum that includes:

  • Technical subjects: Structural Design, Environmental Science, Acoustics, Quantity Surveying, and Disaster Management.
  • Humanities subjects: History, Sociology, Philosophy, and Literature.
  • Management training: Professional Practice, Project Management, Public Speaking, and Peer Learning.
  • Vocational skills: Carpentry, Fabrication, Digital Techniques, and Photography.

The B.Arch program lays a strong foundation for various specializations, including Product Design, Graphic Design, City Planning, Urban Design, Landscape Design, and Parametric Design, among others.

seed is a fully sustainable residential campus designed to support the round-the-clock learning environment of a design school. The campus includes well-equipped academic spaces, comfortable residential facilities, and thoughtfully designed recreational areas that enhance student life.

The Ladies’ Hostel, commissioned in February 2021, accommodates up to 100 students, providing a safe and comfortable living environment. The Men’s Hostel, inaugurated in 2023, offers similar facilities, ensuring a well-balanced residential experience. Both hostels are designed to promote a sense of community while offering students a conducive atmosphere for academic and personal growth.The campus infrastructure is carefully planned to encourage interaction, collaboration, and self-directed learning, making SEED a dynamic and immersive space for architectural education. Candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria:
All candidates who have:

  1. Passed in 12th Class with PCM Subjects/ 10+3 Diploma with Mathematics.
  2. Qualified NATA – The National Aptitude Test in Architecture conducted by the Council of Architecture.
  3. Completed 17 years of age as of the last date of submission of the Application form.

Both of the above shall carry 50% weightage in the matter of admissions.
