Rajiv Babu, architect, urbanist, and traveller, graduated from the College of Engineering, Trivandrum with a Bachelor’s degree in architecture in 2017. During his practical training in Sri Lanka, he was introduced to the works of Geoffrey Bawa, which had a significant impact on his academic and professional pursuits. Following graduation, he spent two years at architectureRED in Chennai working on projects of varying scales. He pursued a Master’s degree in Urban Design at CEPT University, Ahmedabad where he gained a deeper understanding of the complexities of shaping the physical features of cities.

In 2021, Rajiv began teaching architecture at Avani Institute of Design in Calicut and has been involved in various semester studios. At SEED, he aims to follow his passion for mapping public spaces and activities, while utilizing his diverse experience to mentor and guide students in their journey.


When he is not working, he can be found reading, scribbling, or listening to music.
