Reshma Mathew is an architect and urban designer with over ten years of experience spanning industry practice and academics. She completed graduation from the University School of Design, Mysore (2005-2010) and holds a master’s degree with distinction in Architectural and Urban Design from the University of Edinburgh, United Kingdom (2016-2017). Her research interests are based on speculations on ecological urbanism and gender-based constructs of space. Her Master’s thesis based on Calcutta titled, Casts & Skins: Kumartuli + Tolly’s Nullah, explored visualisations of a resilient and regenerative architecture for the post-colonial, metropolitan Indian city. Her practice includes architectural and research-based urban intervention projects in Cochin and Kottayam as well as graphics and art based projects. She associates as a collaborator with the award winning practice, Cochin Creative Collective based in Ernakulam.
